Job Description

We are looking to hire a Senior Systems Implementation Project Manager to join our team in Rockville, Maryland.  The Senior System Implementation Project Manager provides leadership in rolling out new software services and promoting them to an expanding federal customer base. The role includes project management for all activities related to the delivery of partner services through a web-based application product line. Responsibilities include project management and oversee planning activities including the coordination of requirements and development, advocate for project needs, communicate risks, and manage customer expectations. As features are deployed, the Sr. System Implementation Project Manager promotes new services, ensuring the availability of training and support resources.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead partner stakeholder relationships
  • Manage and monitor all communications
  • Lead and deliver partner system implementations
  • Coordinate service deliveries to the partner, including meetings with relevant project management resources and tracking key funding documents, measure project burn and provide cost estimates
  • Collaborate with other Partner Relationship Managers to identify opportunities to improve overall service delivery to its partners
  • Create and maintain Project documents including Charters, milestones, schedules, status reports
  • Deliver status reports to partner and program leadership


  • Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required skills and abilities
  • 8 years of experience in a customer facing role; at least 5 years of leading and delivering IT system implementations
  • Experience in leading small teams
  • Delegating tasks
  • Experience managing, interacting and presenting at all levels of client engagement
  • Providing customer support for a large business system
  • Experience with leading or promoting IT development projects
  • Understanding of Federal Government information needs
  • Ability to converse on system requirements and advocate for partners needs
  • Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to explain policies, procedures, and technical information clearly and accurately
  • Exceptionally strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to recognize, prioritize, track, and resolve multiple ongoing issues
  • A team player that can balance the needs of their customer with the needs of the overall program
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
  • Local travel within the DC Metro area
  • Position is located in Rockville, Maryland
  • Relocation will not be provided
